If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?

The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! Jehoiakim was twenty and five years old when he began to reign; and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Zebudah, the daughter of Pedaiah of Rumah.
