To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,

For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,

Yet I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, and companion in labour, and fellowsoldier, but your messenger, and he that ministered to my wants. For he longed after you all, and was full of heaviness, because that ye had heard that he had been sick. For indeed he was sick nigh unto death: but God had mercy on him; and not on him only, but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow. Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;

But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
